Installation
Installation of window treatments is a tricky job for the amateur which is why so many of our customers prefer to hand the task over to our professionals so that they can simply sit back and wait for the impeccable final results. Our pro installation teams have done this so many times they make it look easy but as anyone who has tried to do it themselves can tell you, there is an art to handling ten pounds of fabric panels while balancing on top of a ladder and wielding power tools. Just getting that right, never mind the inch perfect measurements and installation needed to ensure that drapes and blinds hang properly, is quite an art.
Measurement Once you've decided exactly what kind of window treatment you want for your windows the next step is to have your window spaces professionally measured. As well as the old fashioned tape measure we use laser measuring to get absolutely precise measurements even in tricky to reach places. Getting those measurements exactly right is the first step towards ensuring that you can look at your blinds or drapes and always see that they hang right without any of those niggly doubts about whether everything is straight or not. Drapery Installation It doesn’t matter if you’ve opted for simple curtains or full length drapes, made to measure, or off the shelf, quite simply all drapery will hang better and look better if it’s installed by the pros. Some materials, such as silk, are very easy to damage if handled incorrectly during the installation process so it pays to have the job done by an experienced installer. Other materials are best hung after being steamed in order to get those razor sharp creases and again we can do that for you. Whatever type of drape or curtain you have chosen, we will ensure it hangs, and opens and closes, just as it should. Blind and Shade Installation Installing blinds and shades is not rocket science but there are still a number of points that need to be properly taken care of beyond proper measurement. Blinds can be either inside mount or outside mount, there may be valences to install as well, there is the headrail and depending on the type of blind there may be auxiliary support brackets to install. Our technicians are familiar with all the elements of installation and can absolutely be counted on to install perfectly every time. Shutter Installation Different shutters perform different tasks and that means different installation requirements. Of course they all look fantastic - at least they do if you get them from us but as well as looking great and keeping out the light your shutters can help you with heating and cooling bills and provide visual or physical barriers to unwanted interest from those outside. Let our professional installers ensure that your shutters don’t just look good but are also installed correctly to perform the precise job you chose them for and do it right. |
